"Zarrin ! Come here, I'm bored and in a dire need of an occupation : tell me about your travels, I can't stand the silence. "
unprompted / temporarily closed.
‘ your grace, ’ she sighs, already feeling the start of a dull ache at her temples. ‘ i hope that someday, you’ll come to appreciate silence for the good it can give you. ’
THE GOOD IT COULD GIVE HER, really. for a moment, she closes her eyes in the hope of finding the respite she desperately craved. just a moment – a moment of silence, of peace, of time to herself. but yet again, she’s reminded that no such thing exists within these walls. it’s a small price to pay for her eventual success – her duty comes before all else. duty just happened to include entertaining a grown man with the impatience and eagerness of a child.
‘ i’m honored that you think my travels are worthy of your time. ’ with a deep breath, she opens her eyes and strides to the throne, settling at his feet. ‘ shall i tell you of the tree i found ? from a distance, its leaves appeared to be made of a gold so thin that light passed right through. ’ / @execratuscapra
