another point: on this blog ( and my others ), faunus were created in the image of the brothers grimm. humanity’s hatred/mistrust/fear of them stems from the brothers’ destruction before they left remnant. with his amnesia as well as being raised in vacuo, arvio has so far been spared the brunt of racism. zarrin, however, is fully aware -- this is one of the reasons why she dislikes leaving vacuo. this is one of the reasons why she’s wary of humans. this is one of the reasons why she refuses to be anything but proud of her heritage. she fully supports the belladonnas’ white fang. because of the relationships she’s built throughout her travels, she stops short of supporting sienna and especially adam.

i have yet to see the new r.wby episode but in this house, we stan polytheism. i’ll expand on this later but in the meantime: arvio and zarrin recognize the major arcana. zarrin honors nature spirits as well as spirits of the deceased. with her mythos being anubis, she has a tie to a being based on ammit. rosemary has a complicated history with a man who was posthumously granted immortality. she is his Voice to those dedicated to the religion that formed in the wake of his death.

since losing his memory, arvio has had to relearn spoken and written language. he’s a slow writer, preferring to sketch. while it was endlessly frustrating to learn something that came so easily to others, he was determined to succeed. even if the practice just made the days go by quicker.
