PMD Fanfiction Concept Pt.2
At the time, with the Overseer being captive and trough Professor Ross it becomes clear that….Patrizia appears not to be…quite modern….certain dialogues and exchanges gave a hint that she might be a bit outdated when it comes to technology (For example saying that she’s not so keen to those “cellular pocket gears” given their weight or her mentioning during a conversation that she invested some time ago in those “personal computer systems with a text based interface.” After some talking with the Cubone, Professor Ross and the Overseer and asking Patrizia if she remembers what year it is/was, it becomes clear that Patrizia had vanished from the World around fifty years ago, as well as that the family company had been long sold to another company (Probably Silph Co.)
This of course greatly affects Patrizia deeply, not only because the company she was supposed to lead and make it prosper even more no longer exist, but also that many friends, relatives etc. are either way old…or long death.
“The Friend” enters the scene
The friend is someone Patrizia remembers, and so do they, unfortunately given the time that has passed the friend is now an old man, around their mid eighties. He says that he has been in this world for some time, having been send there but unfortunate can no longer say why nor can they remember when or why Patrizia vanished from one moment to another. After so many years his memory is failing him gravely, but when he heard those rumors of other humans being there, he had to travel into this town and see it with his own eyes. Both Patrizia and the friend are overjoyed by this stroke of luck to see each other again. Yet for some reasons he often tends to wander around into the forest and gets lost much to the annoyance of the guilt master who has to send someone to fetch him.
To the Overseers delight the Pokemon appear to be trusting her more, which may have to do that she is good with children and likewise. (The Overseer does mention as a sideline that due of her illness preventing her from fulfilling her original dreams and her having often screenings at a hospital, she was often visiting the sick children in the same facility, trying to cheer those up who where in the hospital for time being or who would end up passing away soon, giving them a laugh or making them happy as good as possible) At one point she was handling a Pichu that was quite grumpy given that it was past their bed time and they did not want to go to sleep. Finding no solution in how to convince the Pichu to go to sleep she asks Patrizia who herself does not really know what to do, in the attempt of picking them up to cradle it since maybe this might help to make the Pichu fall asleep, Patrizia gets shocked…quite strong. Fortunately she is left unharmed to her own surprise and the Pichu powered themselves out and fell asleep.
But unfortunately this happy moments do not last long, for a bit later the “Architect/Pilot” enters the scene again, hidden and having a target, the Cubones partner, the Charmander who he challenges far outside of the village, having a Braixen as an Pokemon (from the main Pokemon world) he attacks the Charmander, yet, despite Braixen supposedly being stronger it faints and a battered Charmander wins. But, you see, that was after all the Architects/Plilots plan. And then from one second to another everything goes fast, very, fast. A Pokeball is thrown at the Charmander by the Architect and all the fire-type lizard sees is red, before darkness follows.
It is to note that the Pokeball looked quite unique as well as old, instead of round it had a rather hexagon like shape and it was not in the usual red-white color.
It hits especially the Cubone very hard that their friend went missing, with who they went trough many hardships and from one moment to another it looks like as if the ground had swallowed up their partner and there is not a single trace where they could be, although, everyone silently agrees that it is very likely the work of the Director.
Their worries would be confirmed when a few days later a “flying machine” is seen on the sky, and no one else than the “Pilot/Architect” is using it. Having finally discovered the Village that until now was very well hidden/camouflaged in the woods, his little “air show” that involves trying to shoot Patrizia, the Professor, the Cubone as well as the “Overseer” does not end well for him, given that he gets shot down (The airplane is made mostly out of wood and cloth so that it would have nearly no weight but it does have a motor. The Pilot used the airplane also earlier, to travel faster and or for exploratory missions for the Director.) Note: For now I do not know how it gets shot down, it’s most likely due of an Attack from an Pokemon, but I also like the idea of the Overseer having had a flare gun in the little luggage she had with her and in her anger shooting the flare at the aeroplane.
The Pilot can escape the burning wreckage nearly uninjured but of course is disgruntled, perhaps even quite angry, but, he’s not here for “games” he is here for proposals, they hand him over the crystals, and he will give them their friend the Charmander back.
They of course refuse because, who says a) he’s not lying and b) will be keeping his word.
The Architect/Pilot answer that he always keeps his word, and that he is just following the Directors orders. He shows the Pokeball which Patrizia identifies as one made by her company.
“Correct my dear, and I guess you all would like to see my newest catch given how familiar you are with them.” letting out a half amused, half mad laugh.
Upon seeing who the Architect has in his possession, the feelings went high, very high in anger. They either way called him “insane”, “inhuman”, “mad” or just plainly sick, but he shrugs it off, before anyone can attack him he stops them, activating the Pokeball again the Charmander vanishes again.
If “they” would try any “tricks” he would destroy the Pokeball, either way when their “friend” is in the Pockeball or during the release process.
“Needless to say, I do believe you all can imagine that this, won’t end well for your little fiery friend.”
Given the outrage he has caused and seeing the rage, the anger, the absolute disgust they all have for him he offers another deal (one the Director probably doesn’t know about)
“A classical Pokemon duel, I with "my” Charmander and you Patrizia with “your” Cubone, if you win, you all can have your friend back, if I win, I’ll take the shards you have collected, no matter what"
Patrizia doesn’t want to do this, she really doesn’t, this, this is just a sick game, to let two friends fight against each other but it’s the Architect who has the ace in his sleeve in the form of always being in the position in destroying the Pokeball whilst he, the Charmander is still in there. It takes the toll on all of them and the Architect is growing impatient, or rather “the Director, for he values time, so you better act fast now.”
It’s not Patrizia that says anything, but rather the cubone, who accepts the challenge, first after this would be over they say, they would apologize deeply to their friend, and then, they would make sure that the Architect would always remember them.
“Strong words for someone so small and inexperienced.”
When he released the Charmander again the “Architect” does not waste a chance to remind him, the fire Pokemon that he would “lock him into the ball” again if the Charmander would not comply. The Charmander is visible in pain, hurt, yes even a bit in shock for what the Architect has done, taking his freedom, trapping him in this ball made out of plastic and metal.
The Cubone apologizes. The fight, is….it’s horrible, everything is horrible on this and it’s very emotional. The Cubone does not want to fight, Patrizia does not want to fight, despite being persuaded by anyone, the Architect does not even flinch.
But, there is a plan, and the plan works. It involves with probably both the Cubone and the Charmander falling down, seemingly both having fainted, but unlike the Architect, who Patrizia is sure is about to strike the Charmander, demanding to “stand up” again. She sees that they have not really fainted. When the Architect gets closer “tired of this game” about to capture the Charmander again, it’s that the Cubone strikes the Architect, and Patrizia holds him down, not simply that she pushes the Architect down, but in her very anger having both of her arms around her cane/ the staff at his throat whilst the Architect is gasping for air.
She is making the demands now, and she swears by everything, that if he does not free the Charmander as soon as possible she is going to crush his windpipe and they will do it themselves, even if it should take years. The Architect, harder and harder breathing finally complies and frees the Charmander from his hexagon shaped prison (indicated that the ray has another color and not it being red.)
But Patrizia does not let go of him, it’s only when the Charmander talks to her that it’s over and asks her not to do it that she is loosing her grip around the cane, letting the Architect breath freely. Who is, very furious that his plan didn’t work. Throwing himself at Patricia he activates a hidden smoke bomb and is able to take one to tree shards that Patrizia had in her possession. (Before the Architect appeared she probably was looking at them, hoping maybe that she could remember more of her past and took them with her when they heard the airplane.
(TW: Death, death mention, mention of execution, mention of electrocution)
Before he runs, he tells Patrizia, that he should have expected that move from her, after all, in the world he is from (the main Pokemon World) Patrizia was known to have murderer three people from her company and then got executed by electrocution. Someone like her always is looking for blood, for a new victim to slay.
It’s because of what the Architect said, that Patrizia remembers, a flood of emotions, pain, tiredness, anger, sadness, hopelessness, being lost, the cramps from the electricity, the pain, the blood and how her eyes burned looking at those who looked back outside of the execution room.
Patrizia breaks down crying, not being able to move anymore or to say a single word and the tears running down her face. She remembers now, that she died trough electrocution. But also, that she was wrongfully sentenced to her death. Alas, that’s how she remembers, it was like this, was it?
Holy shit, this is getting good.
