Horses gaze at the cat
i wasn’t kidding about the zahhaks and the serkets earlier. i’ve been thinking about them a lot, so i made a short comic.
i think it’s really funny to portray them like darkleer absolutely HATES her. he can’t STAND her. and mindfang is either completely oblivious or pretends to be.
hello tumblr. happy new year
His poor little nook is about to experience the workout of a lifetime
On Lejions and Zahhaks.
I find these lines of trolls interesting because I noticed something recently.
So we've seen Nepeta and Equius together in their Moirallegience, in fact, they're the go to example of what it looks like, they're the ideal, in short.
And then their Dancestors, Meulin and Horuss, we see snippets of theirs, largely inspired by their young Dancestors, and it is... not ideal, to say the least.
We've seen Nepeta and Equius be pale together, it's wholesome, they bond together, get frustrated at each other, but they ultimately love each other. Meanwhile, Meulin and Horuss are never seen directly interacting with each other, even during the Ministrife they don't even acknowledge each other!
Meulin doesn't even mention Horuss once in the Openbound we see her in!
Horuss is, as per usual, disrespectful when addressing Meulin, calling her a ridiculous Mid-blood. He can't even understand her!
It's dubious on whether or not Horuss was being reliable when stating that Meulin was encouraging toxic positivity onto him, due to said inability to understand her.
Over all, Meulin and Horuss don't talk about each other much.
Another thing about Nepeta and Equius, along with their Dancestors, is their typing quirks.
Nepeta and Equius:
:33 <
D-->
Meulin and Horuss:
(^•x•^) <
8=D <
When taking the ending character of their quirks and putting them together, Nepeta and Equius make <> a diamond, signalling their tightly knit relationship, meanwhile for Meulin and Horuss you get <<, a symbol devoid of meaning, or even a left facing arrow, which usually means "Go Back".
And as for the Ancestors, they reflect this disparity as well.
With the Disciple and Darkleer, Darkleer allowed the Disciple to live due to, presumably, a pale attraction, which led to him living an unsatisfactory life. Meanwhile we see nothing from the Disciples end.
With the Muckrake and Danklook, we see that the Muckrake has a pen with a Sagittarius symbol on the clicker bit, while Danklook has a suspiciously Olive colored bridge to his glasses.
Every instance of Meulin and Horuss are inherently doomed by the narrative, the Disciple was the closest confidant to the Wanted Mutant Leader of a rebellion while Darkleer was a loyal subject to the system that she detested and the executioner of her lover, Meulin and Horuss can't connect due to the language barrier, and even then Horuss inherently can't be happy in a relationship with a low blood due to many circumstances.
Every instance of Nepeta and Equius are inherently bound by the narrative, although we don't see the Muckrake and Danklook in action, we DO see those earlier hints towards each other, the pen and the bridge, Nepeta and Equius are shown actively bonding when on screen together, even when they argue and get angry with one another it's never bad.
day 19
Quick drawing of Darkleer, bc this heat is killing me
