The executor of the will is defined under section 2(c) of the Act and is defined as the person who executes such will after the death of the testator.
Some of the duties and powers of an executor of a will in India are to oversee the settlement and the distribution of the assets of the testator, to obtain a probate of will from the court of law, to make a list of all the assets and wealth of the testator, provides funds for the funeral and last rights of the testator, can incur and reimburse funds used while taking care of the testator, etc.
