Following Sunday's disastrous Simply Health Newham 10k race I now know why it felt so horrible and why I turned into an incoherent drunk-looking mess at the end! It appears my heart likes to do silly things when I run fast for prolonged periods, nothing too horrendous, but enough to make me feel like I've drank a bottle of wine on the way round 😂 I'm sticking to marathons now, no more of this 5k and 10k malarkey... Off the back of my experience, please can I ask you all to listen to your bodies while exercising, and be careful not to fob off genuine issues, be it injury niggles, to more serious abnormal cardiac symptoms. We only have one body, and it's important to take care of it!
