Exertional headaches and migraine attacks are limiting. An expert answers common questions about exercise headaches, their symptoms, treatme
Forgot to mention in my last post that two weeks ago I experienced and exertion headache while doing squats. I get headaches and migraines frequently, but this was a whole new level of ouch. It ended up being like any injury... so if I raised my blood pressure it would start throbbing out of nowhere. It was so weird. Now I'm trying to work on breathing and hydrating to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Uh-oh. Exertion Migraine. Bad, bad, bad.
Tried out Jillian Michael's Yoga Meltdown Level 1 -- five minutes into it, I was thinking, "oh gods, what did I get myself into?!" She's amazing, but I honestly don't think my body is ready for her workout intensity, much as I'd want it to be.
Switched back to The Biggest Loser: Weight Loss Yoga. two minutes into the workout proper, I had to stop because of a slicing pain in the left side of my head.
It's a dull ache right now, but damn. What the hell was up with that?
