They couldn’t help their situation, Maureen and Maureen. Even their own father, who was a healer, hadn’t been able to figure out how to reverse whatever had split them into two people, but they’d been making it work for long enough that it felt natural now. Like having a twin. And most of the school didn’t seem to really mind too much. Or notice.
But Professor Palmer was hell and Level Six Incantations was... well, being recruited as a TA was one thing, but with Cecil, that meant that they were also dragged into helping him run the weird little radio thing. It was so annoying.
Maureen rolled out of bed before the sun had even set and looked at the clouds outside the Blindhawk dorm windows. Clouds were unusual. It was going to be a weird day.
She got dressed and made her way down the many floors, most of which were nonexistent, to the Spiderwolf dorms to see Maureen before she had to go find Cecil to help him prep for the broadcast.
She laid heavily on the bed next to her sort-of twin and groaned. “This place is... have you read any of that last fic Cecil gave us? I want to cry.”
