This is what I will say about the Jussie Smollett case.
After the initial alleged attack I posted one thing then I stopped and didn’t give it attention because something felt off to me. Now what’s said has been said and it still feels off to me like some things aren’t adding up
1st off the brothers that were suspected of the attack said they were “not anti trump” why would they say that, when they are being accused of being pro trump. This tells me that there’s a language barrier and things are being misconstrued and misunderstood.
2nd Jussie said “if these were black men the story would be different” about his attackers. If the suspects are black men why would he say this? Either he didn’t get a good look at his attackers, or this is a red herring, or this is a misunderstanding
I had a feeling that the Chicago pd were trash just from these two vibes,
But now with the “suspects” brothers admitting in front of a grand jury that Jussie didn’t pay them for a scheme or an attack, but for training, I now know that the Chicago police department are trash and jumped to conclusions without all the facts. Questioning black men because they are black and not going off the descriptions Jussie gave them, ya know like real investigators would. And they put forth a false narrative without the proper facts as admitted by the “suspects”
This man’s name has been drug through the mud over misunderstandings and people are writing him off without all the facts. I still do t know whether this was a hoax or not but I do know that Ryan Loche can lie about being attacked and not be arrested, but the same can’t be afforded for a black man.
This is why I want to urge every black person to sue and have white peoples arrested for calling the cops on you for just existing. You can’t let them get away with it. Because they will destroy you if the shoe was on the other foot
I might be over exaggerating but I’m going to wait for all the facts to come out before passing judgment unlike these so called professionals that should be keeping their bias at bay
But also if this black gay man isn’t a liar there are real racist homophobic men out there laughing as the Chicago police department fails to do anything correctly
I hate when I’m in a situation where Non Black people are doing a problematic thing and I can’t really call anyone out because I’m outnumbered 🙃
One of the things I hate about existing while Black is that you're never allowed to truly be mad at someone, over anything. It always gets met with either "oh they didn't know, or they said they were sorry, why are you taking it so seriously" or "we don't know all the facts, or "let's play devil's advocate" because they have to take the side of someone who hurt you or who did something wrong, cause otherwise it's just the black bully running amok and out of control

The phone number is real, though, and people who call it will get a message reminding them that African-Americans are more likely to experience force in the American criminal justice system and endure longer sentences.Then there are phone prompts that ask callers what the black person they are calling about is doing, such as shopping or sleeping in a dorm rec room.“
Based on your menu selection, we have determined that you are not in danger and probably just racist,” the line says....
So, three things:
1) 844 is indeed a toll-free exchange.
2) I wish the NY Times would decide what it is. Is it a moderate-to-liberal paper that can do incisive stories and periodically quite acid opinion pieces? Is it an archconservative apologist for homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, lying egotistical hypocritical bigots? Pick a lane, Times!
3) I love Niecy Nash.

[...] This story begins on Oct. 10 when Juán-Pabló Gonźalez, a black student at the Catholic University of America, decided he wanted to study at the university’s law library. Gonźalez had been correctly informed that as a Master of Library and Information Sciences student, he had access to the law library. He had studied in the facility on numerous occasions before and had no trouble in the past.
[...] When Gonźalez specifically asked McNerlin why their back-and-forth warranted a police call, she replied: “I’ve answered your questions. You didn’t appreciate my answers ...” She admits she has done this at least one other time in a situation “very similar to this.”
Gonźalez offered to let the whole thing go if McNerlin called off the cops, asking: “May I go into the library and you cancel your call to the police?” McNerlin wasn’t having it.
The most revealing part of the video was when the when the Catholic University police officers arrived. One would expect McNerlin to concoct a harrowing story about how she felt threatened and how Gonźalez burst into the library and demanded that he stay. Nah, bruh. She told them exactly what happened.
Summoning all of the aggrieved-white victimization her voice could muster, McNerlin calmly explained, with a straight face no less, that she called the police because Gonzalez questioned her, made statements about the color of his skin, was “becoming argumentative,” and she “did not appreciate it.” That was it. That was her entire explanation of why she called the police.
Gonźalez reports that at least seven officers arrived before he was forced to leave. He explained to The Root that he filed a complaint against Mcnerlin, which the school said only warranted “additional training.” Gonźalez also met with human resource officials from Catholic University who he says dismissed his story until he showed them video evidence....
