The way all the 2020s have done so far have been making me categorically against every new generation of tech that comes out is insane. Like I'm from a technological boom generation, saw the first portable phones, nokias & blackberries & flipphones etc, and the first smartphones, and the first ipods & ipads & tablets in general while still having cassettes & DVD & MP3 players around so I know how all of it work, I had computer classes in high school, I did the transition between home desktop computers to laptops and back to gaming computers. But then they started to put internet in your printer & microwave, everything has ads & AI now and every update is worst than the last. I literally loved technology and they ruined it

if you see criticism of racism within your community as criticism of the community as a whole then you have a racist community. sorry.
Conservative beauty standards are back with a vengeance which means it's especially important to go out this summer with bellies out and bodies unshaved. Also be unapologetically disabled with mobility aids and wearable medical devices and stim toys and ear defenders and all that stuff. You need it. People need to see it. Everyone needs to be reminded that life is unquestioningly more enjoyable when you're not living inside an arbitrary set of rules created by people who are offended by all the wrong things.
So many people try to slither back into my life because theyāve realized that theyāve fucked me over. & the whole time I was being my true self and genuine with no ill intentions. People just can handle a person being a fucking decent human being.
But also so many people are out there trying to manipulate people for their own benefit.
& so many people come back and ask me can they make it up to me by ādatingā me and showing me what ātrue loveā is. š
& its absolutely hilarious and shallow. You donāt need to date me to show me respect. Like why canāt you just be my friend or support me in non physical/sexual way??
But anyway thereās a reason i pushed you out of my life and blocked you. People will swear on their grandma grave theyāve changed but havenāt. & I donāt have time for that. Just be my friend or support me or leave me tf alone.
Also a lot of times seeing peopleās true motives makes them ugly to me where at the beginning I thought shit was cute. I donāt want to be with an ugly ass person. I donāt deserve that.
twitter historically sucks but man this is a banger of a tweet
if you don't do anything else today,
Please have a moment of silence for the people who were killed instead of freed when news of emancipation finally reached the furthest corners of the american south.
have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.
and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.
black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.
if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
This is Juneteenth.
