This wonderful young man went on to win an Emmy! Having fun while sharing something profound and meaningful. I LOVE that balance. In the next photo, I'm asking @jharreljerome about his acting life & experience on the series #WhenTheSeeUs which I really want to bring to your awareness and urge you to watch if you have not already. I mention the Emmy and show the photo for a reason: fame and awards are supposed to be used to bring attention to important topics. Many people forget about police brutality, corruption, rape committed by military and police unless it's in their face each day, on the news repeatedly, or on a really popular show or movie. It's always up to us to remember these realities are happening ALL THE TIME. And they continue to happen until we stop aiding the system that is committing the crimes whether by indifference or avoidance...I'm essentially asking you to care about this topic before it happens to you or someone you love. Yes, alot of injustice happens to Afr. Americans and BIPoC, but please remember the same corruption happens to you if you're white, too...because there's still unhinged & ill equipped officers and officials that are in charge of things they should not be, like another person's life. I've seen police brutality against our white brothers & sisters...still can't get the image out of my mind of some of their stories as well. For those that don't believe discrimination, racism, prejudice, or systemic racism exists...feel free to watch a film like this with others and answer the companion questions from the @arraynow website or the link in my bio. Please watch even a documentary on this true story of the #ExoneratedFive & find out how many innocent children get sentenced illegally for crimes they didn't commit by people who make it harder to love America & believe in it's dreams. Lastly, please, ask yourself where you get your information, news, your resources from...& see if they make money or get something from having you think the way they want you to think or if marginalized people get freedom, justice, & peace. 29 years is their collective jail time. Please choose freedom. Please watch this film. https://www.instagram.com/p/CMdf92GJFId/?igshid=oovbruakjk6o
