However i think there’s a reasonable chance Francois, Robbie, Hudson and Connor, all get invites to the main ceremony as the stars or a very popular show that was locked out of eligibility. So we *might* get some after party pics with a huge emphasis on *might*.

so this is coming from someone who follows the emmys like it’s the super bowl. it is highly unlikely any of the HR actors will be there for the main ceremony. It isn’t normal for thr emmys to invite any of the cost of a show who was not nominated to the ceremony, and as much as i love HR, they’re not high on the priority for people to get invited. normally, whenever a show gets nominated every cast member, crew member, producer, network person, etc. is invited for that show. the theatre that the emmys take place in is not big (holds roughly 6k). now, would i love to be wrong and see them? absolutely. i just think that it is highly, highly, unlikely that any of them will be at the main ceremony. also, the emmys are a weird award show where they take place on a monday in the middle of september. so assuming they’re filming the show, they’re not going to be able to go to a ceremony when the show isn’t nominated.

now, connor will undoubtedly be at his ceremony. if any other cast member is at that ceremony it’ll be francois who’s there not for the show, but as connor’s partner. i’m not entirely throwing out that possibility because the creative arts emmys, which is what connor’s ceremony is, are much more lowkey. like it isn’t televised, significantly less people are there, there is no massive red carpet (it’s literally a backdrop in the lobby of the theatre). so i think it’s in the realm of possibility that he goes as connor’s date. manifesting so much that that happens!

🤷🏻‍♀️ we’ll find out relatively soonish! Just a few weeks.

I know you're traveling, but after you're detailed explanation of the Primetime vs Daytime Emmys I just had to share that Eugene Levy has been been nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his episode with William! Anytime she seems to get a win, all we have to do is wait because the Universe and Karma truly hate Meghan 😂🍿

Eugene Levy isn’t nominated for the William episode - his writers are. Sorry to be pedantic, but it’s an important distinction. Writers are often overlooked and deserve every bit of recognition they get.

However, Eugene’s series “The Reluctant Traveler” as a whole is nominated for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special.

But he actually has stiff competition - Jordan Klepper, Henry Louis Gates Jr, David Letterman, and Stanley Tucci - and it really is a crapshoot who could win. Letterman and Tucci have won several times in recent years so it’s between the two of them with Levy’s show being the dark horse. (Klepper and Gates are consistently nominated but never win, so hedging my bets based on trends, I don’t see them taking it. Letterman doesn’t always win and with the exception of last year - when Conan O’Brien won - Tucci has won 2 out of 3 nominations.)

And I agree, it’s absolutely worth mentioning again: these are Primetime Emmy nominations, aka the big kahuna everyone wants.
