70. Our muses are destined to fall for each other when they’re stranded on an island
This wasn't how it was supposed to be. The day had started out perfectly; a rare day trip down to a small island with some people from Trabia and Esthar - including the Sir Laguna, even! - and the entire day had been nothing but fun both within the island and around the beach.
Of course it had been stressed that the departure was strict, no later than the time that had been advised to return to the boat by, but it was far too easy to lose track of time. The next thing Selphie knew, she had returned to the beach to hop aboard a vessel that was long gone.
"Well, shoot!" She whined, fists planted firmly on her hips. This was the last thing she needed.
But at least she wasn't alone.
Rustling from the trees to her back snagged her attention as Laguna stumbled out onto the sand, his own face bearing the same "am I imagining this?" expression as he realized their way of transportation had left them behind.
With a small nod of her head to confirm what was probably his fear, she grinned sheepishly at him. "Guess we're stuck here for a while!" At least until someone noticed they were missing; she hadn't been able to get a signal for her phone no matter where she had gone on the island. "Weeell, might as well get used to it, I s'pose! Not like we can really swim back or anything."
