Sinestro scoffed. “What’s the matter? You’re not scared of a little unknown, are you?” He looked into the forest, his yellow eyes keenly observing the expansive trees and underbrush, “Anyway, if people are disappearing, as a Lantern, I have some obligation to look into it.” He knew he wasn’t in his dimension anymore, but some habits died hard. Duty died harder.

“okay, so is this a ‘feed me seymour’ type situation or ‘i only eat giant jeff goldblum shaped flys’ type situation?” stephen to rush!

Rush glared at Stephen, largely because he wasn’t a man of popular culture and only got the second of those two references, and only because that one happened to come up more in the scientific community.

“Either way,” he grumbled, though he made an effort not to let his words get lost under his Scottish accent, “I would suggest not getting too close to those plants unless you would like to discover the answer for yourself.”

“wow they really do use plants for everything here - i just saw a woman selling plant pants. plant pants!!“ ( rush & rose )

“Why does everyone want plant pants?” Rush snapped, looking up from the collection of strange fruits in a stall he had been looking over. He glared at Rose, though the expression was more annoyed than angry. Then again, he ALWAYS looked annoyed, so maybe he wasn’t actually bothered at all. “Do you plan on buying a pair, too?”

“i really, really hope that we don’t end up going through another asteroid belt.“ ( sinestro & uhura )

Sinestro let his ring glow, a yellow construct hand appearing seemingly from no where to move under a piece of debris and hoist it up, bending it back into shape so it could be used to patch one of the holes in the hull. Though he was not part of the clean up team, his ring was going to waste doing nothing, so why not lend a hardlight hand?

“This shouldn’t have been such an issue,” the alien complained, “navigating through asteroid belts is extremely basic. How could the captain allow so much damage?”

“i think that alien behind the bar, yeah him with the three eyes - i think he might sell us a treasure map if we have the right goods.“ (to Rush from Crowley)

Rush glanced up from his strange alien drink to look at Crowley, then over at the alien behind the bar. He frowned thoughtfully. Thankfully, he’d had just enough space alcohol in his system to make him more receptive to his long-buried adventurous side.

“What should we offer? I’ve only got a couple coins from earth and a useless communication stone.” He pulled the black stone from his pocket. It was smooth, with strange runes seemingly carved into it.

“Plant… pants,” repeated Rush with absolutely zero enthusiasm. He stared at Andy, unsure why they seemed so happy about something so… trivial. “If you want some, buy them. I’m sure they’ll trade for something from the ship. I can’t say they’ll be comfortable to wear, though. Hopefully they’re not made of something that’ll give you a rash.” Poison Ivy pants did not sound fun to wear.

“it’s not that bad. it could be worse.” ( from gwen to sinestro ! )

“Not that bad?” Hissed Sinestro, cradling his arm against his chest. Purple blood oozed from between his fingers, dripping to the forest floor, “that thing just took a chunk out of me and who knows what it did to you before I got here! What are you even doing wandering into this forest on your own, anyway?! Are humans always reckless fools? Or do I just happen to meet all the wild ones?”

“you don’t understand a word i’m saying, do you?” (To Rush from Sherlock!)

The sheer indignation on Rush’s face spoke volumes to what he thought of THAT question. “Of course I understand what you’re saying,” the Glaswegian replied, “I just don’t happen to agree, that’s all. People are allowed to have different opinions, aren’t they?” Saying he doesn’t understand something- the nerve of some people!
