Expat blogs

I've been doing some research, trying to find interesting expat blogs by people living in Thailand, mainly Bangkok. Haven't found much.

If I do a similar search for expat blogs by people living in Korea however, the result is extremely different. Lots of interesting reflections by people living in a to them very foreign country.

Why this difference between Thailand and Korea? I think it has to do with the people that choose to go to these respective countries. Korea: Canadians and Americans teaching English at Hagwons. They generally want to report back home on either how awesome everything is or how horrible everything is. It depends on their hagwon which of the categories they fall into. Thailand: Middle aged men, and a few students, and people just passing by on their Southeast Asia tour. And that last category can't even be called expats. The true expats in Thailand tend to blog less than the younger crowd straight out of college that go to Korea. An age-thing I am sure. And gender too maybe. I have a feeling more women than men blog about their lives. Men blog about other stuff, like politics and such. And honesly there are more men that settle down here than women. Thailand is also more of a travel destination than Korea. And finding travel blogs in Korea are just as difficult as finding expat blogs in Thailand.

It sucks. I would be nice to find a cool expat blog that I could relate to. Let me know if you find one.
