#20 for @expcrtocrede (welcome to date nights)
Edward had slipped into Adewale’s apartment when he knew the older of the two wouldn’t be there. He lugged the bags through the front door and began prepping. He put the pre prepared food in the oven, glad he’d thought to get take out, because lord knows he couldn’t cook to save his life. He was more likely to poison Ade then feed him anything worth while. As the food cooked in the oven he set the table up, pulling one single flower out of the bouquet he’d gotten and putting in a vase on the table. He surrounded it by two candles, lighting them as he pulled out plates and silverware, setting the table. He bit his lip, hoping Ade wouldn’t think all of this crazy or even silly for such a simple tradition as their weekend date night, but this day was important to him, because it was the beginning of his one on one time with Ade and away from all the hustle and bustle of the assassin house. He had just finished, pouring their drinks into some wine glasses he picked up, when he heard the locks being clicked open. He rushed towards the door holding the bouquet of flowers, fingers running through his hair quickly to make sure it wasn’t messy as it was now long enough to pull over one shoulder. When Ade finally opened the door Edward had a smile on his face, holding out the flowers he’d gotten for him. When Ade simply looked at him over the flowers he grinned. “Romance is key, after all.”
