One of my heroes has always been Zig Zigler. Early in my working career, I was selling very expensive sets of cookware door to door. I would have never made it in that business if it had not had access to his training audios and the books he wrote. He said that selling is nothing more than a transference of your belief. What a simple yet powerful concept! Techniques and skills may help us in our selling efforts, but not nearly as much as your belief. Think about this…If you are sick with the flu, do you have to TRY to give it to someone? Obviously not. It just happens if someone gets too close to you! So let you belief be the same way. Let your belief become contagious! Your first step is to create you own genuine belief in what you are selling, and then you simply have to let that belief shine through when you are talking to your prospects.
