We greatly appreciate your patience with our further delay, but we are now happy to formally re-announce our call for submission for our sixth volume!

As followers of the blog may know, due to a number of factors, we have been on hiatus and made some changes to the paper.

The Expedition Paper Project will be a monthly zine going forwards and will be released on the first Friday of each month! This means that the deadline will fall on the last Friday of the previous month. 

We have also made some changes to the content we will be accepting. Mainly, we will be increasing the word limit for written works from 500 to 1000 words.

The submission deadline for Volume 6 will be Friday October 30th! The volume will be released on November 6th.

We look forward to seeing your creations!

Introducing the Expedition Paper Project

In the dark months of 19th and early 20th century polar expeditions, crews would start expedition papers as part of the effort to keep up spirits. The Expedition Paper Project aims to recreate the experience in the 21st century as we deal with troubling times of our own. 

The project will feature a bi-weekly zine filled with your submissions: poems, illustrations, short stories, etc. The theme will be polar exploration. Submissions do not have to be on theme, but it is preferred. You are welcomed to even create something pretending to be a 19th century sailor on expedition. We currently hope to be able to publish all submissions we receive. 

Keep an eye out for the first call of submissions in early May!

Updates and Announcements

Due to a number of factors, including the amount of events currently happening in the Terror fandom, we are once again making some changes to the paper.

We are taking a short break from releasing content for the next month, and following this, the Expedition Paper Project will be a monthly zine. 

We are also making some changes to the content we will be accepting. Mainly, we will be increasing the word limit for written works from 500 to 1000 words. This is all in an effort to create a zine with more content as a whole, and allow creators more time to create their submissions. 

Our next issue, Volume 6, will be released on October 2nd, and will be released on the first Friday of each month onward.

Volume Five Submissions are now open!

As usual, we’re looking for content including (but not limited to) art work (either half or full page) or writing (poetry or prose!) of up to 500 words. You can submit up to two works by emailing us your contribution at [email protected], and all content that fits our Content Guidelines will be considered.

For this volume, submissions will be open from now until Friday, July 24th and the volume will be released on July 31st. Our schedule page has now been updated to a slightly different schedule, giving an additional week for submissions.
