What life teaches us

My life and experiences have shown me exactly what I am capable of and that I am a survivor. I am exactly where I am supposed to be with my blog and my book.

Although as a child, it didn’t take away the confusion or the hurt, it does bring understanding for me that this was my life and that through the odds and they were very much the odds, I have come through the other end.

I am pleased that through my blog I have been able to help myself understand and come to know about my disability, about me, helping others too, but it hasn’t come without a mental or emotional cost.

Having come across a girl’s story about her school days where she’d been written off by teachers having been told she would never amount to anything and proving her critics wrong that was my life.

But it’s not just something that happens in school. It’s true in life also. And whilst it’s also true that not everyone is capable of giving support, if the shoe were on the other foot, they would want our support and for us to be happy for them.

If we work on the assumption that what we put out we get back, put out kindness for other people and their potential success, the same favour will be returned to us. It’s how the universe works.
