Pat had argued that they could see the meteor shower just fine from Jonny's rooftop deck, thank you, but Jonny had just rolled his eyes. "Haven't you ever heard of light pollution?" he asked, voice full of judgment, and that's how Pat ended up camping out in the Canadian wilderness watching the sky light up in explosions of color.
Jonny had a blanket spread out on the cool ground, and Pat was leaning up against his chest, the vee of Jonny's legs boxing him in comfortably. Maybe the trip was a good idea after all, he thought, snuggling in closer.
