Experiment 10: bleaching the fabrics with dyed motifs

The some fabric squares with motifs painted on with dye were bleached to remove the work that was done on them. Also bleached were the squares that had been dyed in experiment 2 in attempt to remove the dye from that experiment. The fabrics were left to soak for 30min. By the end of the thirty minutes the orange dye diffused around the whole bleach solution. The bleaching worked well to remove the motifs painted in blue dye, however the remnants of motifs painted in the orange dye persisted. This may have been aided by the face that the solution turned slightly Orange or the fact that the fabric was better at retaining the orange dye.
