selected dialogue from the ending of The Beginner's Guide, a game released in 2015. screenshots taken from NiZZULiVE's no commentary walkthrough of the game on YouTube. Would highly recommend playing through it yourself if you're at all intrigued by this.
It's so surreal to be showcasing a game so close to @wakayrd and I's hearts on a large scale. Thank you Ludodrome and GAMERella for giving us the opportunity to yet again showcase our game to the public! If you're in the Montréal area, swing by Société des arts technologiques to come check out our game, Masks!! Ned is also showcasing his game, Fool's Ball!
So excited for this opportunity and I hope you come and check out the games!!
AT LONG LAST, IT IS HERE! MY THESIS GAME, POOL FRIDAY! OUT NOW ON ITCH.IO!!!
WELL, IT'S BEEN OUT FOR A MINUTE NOW AND I JUST FORGOT TO POST IT HERE, MY BAD LOL
but yeah, Pool Friday is out and wow what a journey it was making this game. made in three different cities in two different states in Southern Brazil, went through multiple development phases, its final version was put together in a little over a month with plenty of sprites and songs being reused from other versions into a pretty cohesive game with a painting minigame... going over every single step of this game's production feels overwhelming and maybe that's because i'm also having to write a thesis about it. which is why i feel like words are spilling in every single direction as opposed to being somewhat coherent. anyway.
in this game, you play as a recently employed character that must work for the titular company. the company's pretty shady, but you have work to do so you never really question it. you just go along with it. but you also acknowledge that you just wanna get this shit over with.
it features tons of exploring to do and text to read, a myriad of different art styles, an all-original soundtrack and a really awesome painting minigame. so what are you waiting for? go play pool friday right now !!!!!!
In this job, you must control other people’s lives so that they have the best possible outcome.
The early access version of The Finest Taverns is now live on Itch.io!
You should expect to run into some rough edges and maybe a few bugs, but you can play through the entire 80 day fantasy tavern-crawl experience now.
Come taste the bee organ omelets, buy fancy hats, and work all sorts of odd jobs as you try to see as much of the world as you can and create the most absurd travel log possible.
