Today I have mostly been thinking about bookmarks, after chatting to a few friends who've made wooden ones before. I often have lots of off-cuts that I don't really want to burn, so a use like this that utilities slender strips could be a handy solution. Here to test how thin they can be taken before becoming too fragile are cherry, holly, sycamore, elm, tulip wood, yew and London plane.
