the driving shots in the first muppet movie (kermit and fozzie in the studebaker) were filmed with an actual car. there were compartments cut out in the bottom for jim henson and frank oz to sit and puppeteer.
noel mcneal (puppeteer for bear from bear in the big blue house) also puppeteered and voiced kako on Oobi, a kids show starring actual hands as characters.
