To Infinity and Beyond!
Tuesday 4th February 2020
It was a bit choppy last night and the sick-bags were out again in the loos (discreetly of course).
By dawn, the sea had calmed and I was able to do my 50 laps in the pool without getting tangled in the nets!
Progressing northwards now, the weather steadily improved during the day; the sun came out in the afternoon, the wind had died-down and it was time for a dip in the Infinity Pool on deck 7 aft outside the café. But not wishing to spoil everyone’s lunch, with the sight of my semi-naked body, I left it until a bit later….
Thankfully, the glass at the back overlooking the sea is a good 4 inches thick but I checked the seals around the outside first!
My only doubts were about the depth but thankfully, it was somewhat less than infinity!
This afternoon, and maintaining the theme of today’s blog, we had another presentation in the 26-seater ‘Explorer’s Dome’, the ship’s miniature planetarium.
Today’s presentation was a bit different, however; it was in 3D with special glasses. If I’m honest, the front row wasn’t great for my neck but the 30-minute pre-recorded show was pretty neat. Next time, I’ll just have to get in first to get a better seat!
