XiQiao Berg und Foshan:

Versteht mich nicht falsch, wenn ich einen falschen Eindruck von diesem Ort erwecken könnte. Foshan ist die größte Stadt in Canton mit 10 860 332 Einwohnern....Wolkenkratzer sind einfach zu hoch für ein Bild ;)

Das abgelegene Dorf und die grüne Landschaft waren eine einstündige Busfahrt in einen Naturpark mit einem großen sitzenden Buddha auf dem Berg.

XiQiao Mountain and Foshan:

Don´t get me wrong when I might create a wrong impression about this place. Foshan is the biggest city in Canton with 10 860 332 habitants...skyscrapers are just to high for a picture ;)

The remote village and the green landscape was a one hour trip by bus to a natural park with a big sitting Buddha on top of the mountain.

This gentlemen practices traditional pork curing. Salt was discovered here 2000 years ago, since the village became famous for their delicious ham, true! His living room, rather small courtyard dates to Ming Dynasty, so 500 years old, it’s still his workspace and not a museum. Ham hangs from the ceiling over the dining table.
