Great Wall of China A Maratona Tenzing Hillary Everest é um evento internacional de esportes de aventura em alta altitude realizado no Acampamento Base do Monte Everest, cruzando as trilhas sherpa das terras altas do vale Khumbu em 29 de maio de cada ano, para comemorar a ascensão histórica no Monte. Everest por Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa e Sir Edmund Hillary em 29 de maio de 1953. Este é um evento único no mundo, devido às seguintes características incomparáveis. 1- A Maratona Tenzing Hillary Everest é a maratona mais alta do mundo, com linha de partida na altitude de 5.356m na Khumbu Icefall. 2- A Maratona do Everest percorre as geleiras e moreias mais altas em um trecho de 10/15 km. 3- Este evento de maratona passa pela rota histórica para o Everest Pioneiro por Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa e Sir Edmund Hillary enquanto escalava o Everest em 1953. 4- A Maratona do Everest passa pela maior elevação do mundo através de mosteiros, monumentos, atalhos, pontes suspensas, lugares exóticos e belas paisagens, que não existem em nenhum lugar do mundo. #Patience.

I took this picture a few years ago while I was visiting China after a tiring walk at the Great Wall. Most of my pictures I always capture them first my eyes then with my lens. I saw the picture and I felt too tired to wait for the sun to set. I remembered it’s an opportunity I might never get again in my life even If I get to visit China another time. I understood the reason why I felt overwhelmed by the time I’ll have to wait to take the picture the way I want it, is because I am only focusing on the ultimate moment the sun will perfectly sit on the branch and dismiss the beauty of watching the sun slowly but so magnificently setting. This is the kind of moment a picture can never capture because it will only freeze that last moment when you snap the picture and won’t transcript the joy I felt patiently watching it happening. Like a soldier facing his last stand, I stood firm with my camera and witnessed the time delightfully unfolding to create the perfect picture. That experience never cease to remind me no matter where you are heading, the journey is as important as the destination, and sometimes more important. It will teach you patience, with patience wisdom.

The Great Wall of China was built as a military defensive line to protect the Chinese Empire from the Mongolians and other invaders. It is made of cement, rocks, bricks, and powdered dirt & it is the longest structure ever built by humans.
