“I will win. Because... that’s what a hero does.”
Happy Birthday, @saisai-chan♥
@saisai-chan and I were talking about how Bakugou and Dadzawa would 100% bond over their hatred for the media.
Perhaps Bakugou was kidnapped again (third time’s the charm), and Aizawa, being his homeroom teacher, decided to be their with him and support him as he speaks in front of the press. He decides to show his student how to wear a properly fitted suit, how to change his demeanor and speak, and how to tie a tie (and Bakugou hates it). Figured it would go something like this:
Aizawa stood in front of his pupil, advising him of what to say when Bakugou would, no doubt, be bombarded with questions and accusatory remarks.
“No matter what, don’t curse at the press. Keep a hold of your temper."
“That sounds fucking dumb…” Bakugou replied, withholding a sneer.
Aizawa crossed his arms in understanding, "Oh, believe me… I agree,” His tone became too relaxed and matter-of-fact for Bakugou’s comfort, “The media, however, are spineless cowards that will try to find any sort of negative angle about you to change your entire image.”
“Well let them fuckin’ try,” he responded, not fully grasping how serious the media can actually be through his disdain. “I ain’t gonna go changing myself for those shitty camera faces.”
“They’ll try to say you are not qualified to be a hero by showing those negative qualities,” Aizawa, also in a suit, began to fiddle with Katsuki’s tie, “which, then, can cause a citizen upheaval to have your license revoked, and due to the bad press the association might do it.”
With a huff, he gave in, “…fine fine, show me how to tie the shitty piece of cloth…”
After the interview was all said and done, Bakugou was at his wits end. He couldn’t believe how much energy it took to keep his head level. His palms were practically bleeding, due to his fingernails digging into his skin when he balled up his fists in agitation.
Aizawa, however, was not as sour as he usually is after these sorts of things. He was incredibly proud of how the boy stayed calm and rational, and even had to hold back a smile- he didn’t have his scarves to hide it this time.
“I CAN’T BELIEVE THOSE GOD DAMN ASSHOLES. TRYING TO MAKE ME THE VILLAIN,” he shouted to an empty room.
Aizawa followed behind him, “It’s what they do. You’ll have to get used to it.” He sat down in a chair next to Bakugou. “Consider this training- and you passed with flying colors. Good job.”
Katsuki relaxed more into the couch. He didn’t really take the time to consider it, but his teacher was right. He should be proud.
“Can I call them snotty, lying assholes behind their backs,” he asked.
Aizawa had to hold back a sudden laugh, but he relaxed enough to show a genuine grin. “…Well to be fair, you’re not wrong about most of them."
Bakugou eyed him curiously, holding back a smile of his own. “So is that a yes?”
"As your teacher I cannot possibly say yes to that."
“…but you’re not saying no, either.”
The teacher pulled out his phone and turned his face away from him, hiding an even bigger smile. "Hm? Speak up, can’t hear you."
His student followed suit, also hiding his smile. “Got it.”
There was a comfortable silence, and a moment of understanding, between the two as they waited for their driver to arrive and take them back to UA.
Bakugou and Dadzawa makes my heart melt.
