To put things in perspective

My dad had a goal to run the Boston Marathon all four years that my sister attended Boston College. This weekend is usually one of festivities, college students getting off of school. After calling him last night I trusted that my dad and sister would have a good Monday after the race. Coming home from practice today and seeing texts asking if my dad was okay was concerning to say the least. 15 minutes. My father crossed the finish line 15 minutes before the first explosion went off. My sister was 2 blocks away from where the blast was centered. Although The Boston is one of the largest races in the country having loved ones even near such an event is quite humbling. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected today. If only this kind of response would be given to other tragedies going on all over the country every day.

There's so many rumors going around about the explosions, if you want the truth, you gotta go watch the news or something. I've been watching the news since it started and been seeing lots of stuff that is definitely not confirmed.
