So uni is done, and I'm slowly putting together my life before graduation hits. New car, new job, but there's still one thing I want to change.
Being near 19st before your 21 is not good. I'm not even sure where I keep that weight as I've seen some much worse looking people who are lighter than me, but nonetheless, it has to come off.
I've decided a kind of two pronged approach. For my food and tracking, I've gone on Weight Watchers (the online only; I'm not good with new people). I've only done a day but it already seems a lot more doable than calorie counting or those goddamn shakes. This is mostly because fresh fruit, among other things, has no points value, so I can eat whatever I like! I'm a sucker for sweet potato fries, just chop them and then put them straight in the oven for half an hour. No points, and delicious!
For exercise, I'm going to re-ignite the Zombies 5K app, the training version of the Zombies, Run! app. The story keeps me interested, and the training program itself is a bit more challenging initially than the NHS program, and I pick my own music :). With this, I aim to go to the gym 3 times a week, but I can't say what days yet because of still working shifts at ASDA and running up and down the country every week.
In short, this is my day to day blog, to keep track of my food, exercise and day to days. I'm hoping my writing up on here it'll keep my interest in the program (always my downfall), and i'll be able to get some ideas if I get stuck for food or exercise.
