First day of training for the 5k. It’s a little late to do a whole c25k thing but I’m going to do as much as I can.
Also going to go practice my dances and clean for awhile because I am restless today and need to get some things done.

ZR Virtual 5k Training Mission 2
Today’s run was decent. I managed a decent amount of running during it, but I need to cram as much training as I can into the next two weeks to prepare for the upcoming 5k. Vi was more helpful this time, she recognized my voice command for “step to the beat” twice and that feature is just as helpful as I hoped it would be. It plays a tune that you can match your steps to really easily. I did equal amounts walking and then sped up to running with Vi’s help. Now that I’ve done both training missions I’m going to stick to the 5k trainer until race time, to get as much help as I can. I started on week three and I think I’ll repeat it once more and move on to what I can. I’m doing better than I had thought I would but I’m in no means running shape. This is my own fault and I’m going to fix it. I’m hoping to get a job at my old summer camp this year, and if I do for the months of June, July and August I’ll be out of commission for running except for weekends due to the nature of this. I’m really hoping to get it! That would be so fun. It’s outdoors and a fun job that I’d enjoy, which is what I want. It’d get me in shape far faster than running each day. I’ll let you guys know, I should be getting an answer here shortly. (*crosses fingers and prays*)
I FRIGGIN’ DID IT!
I did all the running with the Zombies training this morning! 5 min at once, following by five 1 min runs, and then in the free-run I did 1-2 min bursts a couple times. :-D
Uuuuuuugh today's walk/run was SO HARD. My trail is still completely snowed in and it was really hard to run. So I mostly walked. I really am more out of shape than I thought, damn it. I'm thinking of going back to the Zombie 5k and starting on week 4-6 somewhere? Hopefully that'll bring me up to speed. Still. Went out there!
Psst. I’m running tomorrow morning, and I’m terrified of the new Zombies 5k Training workout. Week 3 is gonna kick my sorry butt.
The Dreaded Workout: 5 min walk 5 min run 1 min run, 1 min walk, 10 knee lefts (repeat five times) 8 min free form run 2 min stretching 8 min free form run
The longest I’ve run solid so far has been maybe 2.5 min? Soooooo yeah. Whose bright idea was it to jump from 30 second runs to 5 min????
Runner 5 reporting for duty. Reintroducing my body to healthy activity slowly and carefully with zombies 5K and walks to the mailbox every day. Be fun if anyone wanted to join :)
Listened to Rajit's tales from Manchester. Will never unsee what he can do with his foot
