Turnitin - Export Comments
We need to export our comment banks to be able to use them in blackboard.
When we move from WebCT to Blackboard our comments/ banks will be left on the old server. So we need to do this before August 4th 2012(that gives us time before Blackboard is released fully).
I will put some screen shots here to help you export the comment banks and then when we use Turnitin in September we will be able to import them into the new Turnitin.
Although Turnitin is available under Blackboard it will be a "new" install - so all the data from WebCT will be on an old server that won't be available under Blackboard.
Also, I would suggest if you want to keep old assignments then you download them to your own area (or shared area should you have one) this can be done at the Assignment inbox screen.
I would expect something from our Learning Information team to come out soon but I wanted people to be aware in case they don't.
So, for "Comment Bank export" see here.
Open up an assignment in Turnitin, click on grademark and click on the spanner to open up the Quickmark manager. (see below steps 1-4)
2.
3. I used the "Punctuation" QUICKMARK set for the example.
4.
you will need this file to import when your logged onto Blackboard.
Remember you need to do this for each of your own "quickmark" sets but not the default ones (they will be available on new system - only back up these if you have made changes to them).
I will post a new blog on how to import a comment bank.
