Metaphorically, On the Road.
Yesterday Amanda (my work and travel companion) and I met up at RDU International around 2:30 in the afternoon. Both of us were laden down with luggage (even though we just sent over air shipments over 100 lbs) as we walked to the Delta check in. After making our way through security, which was an ordeal because we had four laptops between the two of us, we sat down for a quick drink while we waited for our plane to start boarding. There was a short delay while taxing we made it to JFK in time to run through a thousand gates, only to be told our flight had moved to another terminal completely, and then race all the way there. But it all worked out. Last night at 7pm we boarded our flight and this morning at 8am we arrived at London Heathrow.
Amanda and I will be here until Saturday night (a total of three days and two nights). It is just the first stop on our way across the world. Our final destination is Vishakhpatnam, India. We are going there to help start up the process validation program at a new pharmaceutical site. It should be quite an adventure so stay tuned.
