The ending made me angry tbh.
Yes, it made me angry as well. And I was expecting a much more exciting ending, not the one we get. Still, it is an interesting concept for a book, and I think it will be a nice movie!
The did attempt to ban porn in the U.S., in the 1920's-1960's it was illegal to send "lewd material' through the mail,. and sex shops could sell pictures of nude women, but images of people preforming sex acts, nude men, and images of BDSM were banned and selling them could mean jail time. There were raids on adult bookstores and under ground clubs to keep this material from circulating. Long story short, it didn't work and the ban was repealed during the 1970's.
