I can finally, after a year, post about this! I got to do very small-time background work on Stranger Things season 4. So here it finally is: a collection of selfies of my itchy costume and inconsistent 80’s hair.

If you ever have any free time ever it’s really worth signing up to an Extras agency because if you’re able to go and work for a day or two it’s the easiest and most fun money in the world. It’s literally sitting around all day eating decent to brilliant food, chatting to people, reading your book, studying or whatever else you want to do and then an hour or two of sitting or walking or dancing. The one I signed up with doesn’t charge you until your first gig every year and even with the money they keep for getting you the job it’s a few pound above minimum wage for basically nothing and it is fantastic fun seeing how movies, shows and ads are made.

I wanted to share with you something I've done that's pretty fun and an amazing experience. This summer I met someone who works on film sets, driving around the actors and whatnot. He told me I should send in my information for extras work and I did. I've been on two shows so far (I haven't gotten a call back since I took a picture with an actor - oops) ANYWAY I'm able to say one of the shows. I'm not too sure about the other, yet. Perhaps when it comes out. I was on an episode of The Night Shift as an extra for a bar scene (which I think they cut from the original airing because I can't find it so far). It was super fun and I'm definitely looking forward to working on some more, hopefully. I was able to talk to a few of those actors and they're really sweet. We kinda stood around for awhile, but it was definitely something I'll remember for the rest of my life. I just wanted to share that with everyone! It's something I enjoyed and maybe y'all can think about doing something like that.
My Day Today
Film Company: We need to hire twins
Me and My Twin: We’ll do it
Film Company: Cool. Come to set
Us: Ok we’re here! Do you want us to dress the same or anything?
Film Company: nah
Us: Do you want us to stand together?
Film Company: definitely not
Us: ...Do you want us to be in a scene about twins? Or take turns as the same character?
Film Company: nope
Us: What do you want us to do then??
Film Company: hang with the other extras. Do what everyone else does. Avoid being together in the shot cuz that’s distracting
Us: What?! Did you actually need twins at all??
Film Company: nope
Us: Then what did you want us for??!?
Film Company: twins
Us: Wha-
Film Company: TWINS
Hot chocolate is amazing and should be treasured.
