but in like seventh grade a friend and I loved naruto and we were super close because we would talk about naruto together all the time. Later as we grew older she started showing me how to play tennis and we both grew out of naruto over the years and then she disappeared at the end of sophomore year of highschool out of no where and I missed her and it sucked because she used to sit next to me so her seat was empty and I would just stare at it and wonder about what happened. Then!! she came back later junior year of Highschool, and we were on the tennis team together and we were sitting watching a tennis match and she just looked really sad and I was just on tumblr right before and saw that narutos birthday was trending so I turned to her and was like “guess what?” And she was like “what” and I told her overly enthusiastically that it was narutos birthday and she laughed really hard at me because she assumed I had it memorized. and then kept making fun of me for liking naruto still and it became this huge inside joke with our other friends and I just kept pretending to get upset about being outted as a closet naruto fan so they could make fun of me for it and laugh. At one point she even bought me a naruto headband and a natuto themed soda drink and we would always laugh about naruto together. Now we are both openly weebs and I keep my natuto stuff in my manga shrine HAHSHHDS
