not endorsing what I’m about to say just thinking out loud for a moment. dean’s anger only becomes a prominent part of who he is in the mid and later seasons and I wonder if part of that has to do with the fact that after jared decided to give up completely, they just gave sam’s issues to dean. like dean has always been an angry person but it’s been like a resigned backburner kind of thing. sam was the one with legitimate anger issues. but then when he stopped being a character and started being a prop on set dean gained an extra archetype of guy
