People With Introvert Tendency Like To Spend Time With Themselves And Extrovert Like To Be Around People. And Some Who Manage To Balance Between The Two Are Called Ambivert.
THE ACTUAL MEANING
Can we get something straight with introversion and extroversion? Okay, so here we go. Saying you're an introvert because you have social anxiety? WRONG. Saying your an extrovert because you're good at talking to people? WRONG. Introverts: Obtain energy from being alone. Prolonged exposure to social situations leads to exhaustion. Extroverts: Obtain energy from being with other people. Prolonged solitude leads to exhaustion. Typically, yes, introverts do enjoy being on their own. They often enjoy probing around their minds for hours on end... But they enjoy this because it restores their energy, not because they are antisocial or shy. Typically, extroverts are social butterflies. They enjoy being thrown into a party, thrown into a big discussion, or just thrown into a group of friends. They enjoy this because they draw energy from it, not because they are necessarily outgoing. Although typically introverts are more eager to be with themselves and extroverts are more eager to be with others, it does not mean that they do not enjoy the opposite as well. I am an introvert, never could be anything else and I enjoy being social. I love long discussions and meeting new people, I love being included and confided in and talked to. However, it depends how much energy I have. I always say it depends on my "mood" when speaking to friends, however it actually depends on my energy levels when deciding whether I want to hang out or not. Could be the same with extroverts. They might enjoy being alone, but actually have to be social to gain energy for being alone. So, now you know what this actually means. Congrats. Now please stop using it wrong. I want to go into.psychology and this is the most common, stupidest mistake that I CONSTANTLY hear, and it is very agitating. So could everyone educate themselves a bit?
