❛ uh…  i…  n-no. ❜  the  young  infantryman  stutters  out  a  response  after  simply  standing  there  and  staring  for  god  knows  how  long.  he  had  heard  rumors  of  a  secret  special  force  known  as  the  turks  but  he  never  thought  he  would  get  to  see  them  in  action.  at  the  same  time  however,  he  couldn't  help  but  feel  ashamed  of  himself.  he  was  still determined  to  become  a  SOLDIER one day,  yet  here  he  was  getting  saved  by  the female.  ❛ thanks…  and sorry  for  causing  you  trouble. ❜  at  least  the  monsters  were  taken  care  off,  which  eased  his  anxiety  and  allowed  him  to  relax  again.  a  sigh  left  him.  ❛ you're  impressive. ❜  his  gaze  then  dropped  to  the  ground  before  he  adds.  ❛ i  wish…  i  could  be  braver. ❜

Really, what was he supposed to say to that?

It wasn't that Joshua didn't believe Cissnei - she was capable of protecting herself, he had already seen that first hand - so if she was trying to assure him that the bleeding wound that ran across her forearm looked worse than it really was, he found he believed her.

Or should believe her, though all he could feel was a growing sense of worry as he looked at her bleeding.

"-- do you have any bandages?" He would offer to heal it, but most people seemed to look at him uncomfortably when he was able to show he didn't need Cure materia to treat a wound.

He shrugs and lets a chuckle escape his lips before he smiles gently at her. "It's around Gongaga, so don't worry about leaving for too long." It feels good to be far away from Midgar for once. It's like he can act like himself, and he knows he can trust Cissnei, too. The same can't be said about a lot of Shinra people.

i was just going to say that your fly is down.

Zack was on a tear, ranting about the poor conditions of his last mission to anyone who would listen. Today's unfortunate guest of honor was none other than Cissnei. She had won this role by tapping him on the arm to tell him something, interrupting the tale being told to another SOLDIER, Luxiere, and so naturally, he had had to start from the beginning.

Cissnei was the perfect listener, taking in everything he was saying with naught but a well timed sympathetic nod. Zack filled her in on the entire thing before it even occurred to him that she might have something to say to him when she tapped him on the arm. He had apologized and then – “What did you want to say?”

And she told him.

“Oh.” Well. That was humiliating. And now Luxiere was laughing at him, and his fly was still down, and there were people or windows surrounding him so he couldn't even turn away and fix it. “Um. I did that...on purpose.”

" though not meaning to alarm the woman, lunafreya speaks abruptly from a distance, standing a ways behind cissnei as the other toils over the small garden in front of them. to honor those who have passed from the reactor. so she's been told. though, the arrangement is far from in mourning. the townspeople of gongaga simply chose local flora they liked the most. that kind of integrity--- more endearing than any professional hand. / @exturk
