Rick's first reaction at the creature's words is a disgruntled sound. He doesn't like being interrupted during his rants, even when he himself has no idea of what he has been saying in the first place. It doesn't really matter, since the aim of those messy speeches is to bully everyone else into shutting up and agreeing with whatever nonsense he's babbling about.
His late night companion seems not to have gotten the memo just yet, because it...they...she? The voice sounded female...not only hasn't kept quiet, but is clearly implying that she wants him to stop talking.
"D-Do I look like I need something?" The scientist shoots back, and to hell with the fact that he probably does.
His clothes are all stained and there's even a few rips in his lab coat. Also he's sitting on that stupid bench in a shitty subway station because he's too drunk to remember the coordinates of the dimension he's currently living in.
"An-And you should be..." He cuts himself off with a hiccup. "S-Should be grateful to be...to get this booze spilled on you. I-It's the Shit, i-if you catch my drift. Y-You can't find this anywhere around here. O-Or wherever you're from."
That last bit seems to make him realise exactly whom he's talking to and Rick squints at the mutant, trying to put her into focus. Is she some sort of...cyborg bat? Weird, he was sure that there shouldn't be any aliens on that version of Earth.
"W-Where is that, by the way?" He asks again, lifting the flask back to his lips. There's no sign of surprise or fright in his body language. On the contrary, he's acting as if talking to a non-human is perfectly normal. "W-Where you're from. D-Don't think I've ever been to your planet or-or met someone of your species."
