Davini Beauty Ascencion Palette
I knew the moment I saw this palette that I had to have it. The theme and the color story were right up my alley! I think there's a great mix of warm and cool colors, and they all work together wonderfully to create a wide variety of looks.
Description: 15 Pan Eyeshadow/Glitter Palette 26ᵐᵐ Pans that are filled with 9 Highly Pigmented Mattes, 5 Special Shimmers that include Metallic, Subtle Holo, HoloChrome & 1 Extra Special Pressed Glitter named “CONTACT”.
Price: $65
The mattes are creamy and pigmented, the shimmers are super bright and shifty, and the pressed glitter is so unique. The special shades are really cool, some of them give off an inner glow look, others have holographic glitter, and they all add something so unique to your looks.
This one is very fun to play with. I also love the meaning behind the palette and its creation. You can tell that a lot of passion and heart were put into making it by the creator. This might be my favorite palette in my whole collection, and kicked off my obsession with indie palettes!

First Impressions
I totally wasn't expecting the shine and sparkle that you get from these shadows! I knew they would be gorgeous, but none of the swatches online, not even from the brand, hold a candle to what they look like in person! They're also very shifty, you can see how much the colors change swatched on my arm as well as in the pans. All of the shades are eye and face safe, but some are not lip safe, and are listed on the back.
As stated in the description, there are 10 different formulas in the palette, and they are all very unique. I was happy to find that all of the shades worked really well with everything else. I was worried that each of the little 6 pan palettes wouldn't work well with the others, but the color shifts bring them into similar color territory that makes them easy to use together.
The only formula I had a bit of trouble swatching was the "Foil Flakes Chrome" which comes in the shade "Open Heart". I felt that I had to go back into the pan a few times to build up the pigmentation. All of the flake formulas can have a bit of texture, but if you start with a little product and build your way up, you can pretty easily avoid it.
The "Elastin Sheer Metallics" are a really interesting formula, with metallic glitter suspended in a clear base. They go on quite sheer, but I was able to build them up when I applied them over a sticky eye primer. I actually highly recommend some sort of primer designed for glitters, not only to bring out the best results in all of the non matte shades, but to aid in their longevity as well.
The mattes, by the way, are all stunning; they perfectly complement each other and the special shades in the palette. They blend beautifully, build up easily, and layer on each other without getting patchy.
Besides the beautiful grungy shades, what really sold this to me was the versatility of the palette. Not only can you move the individual pans around into a new configuration, but the larger palette can transform into a smaller to-go palette.
The 6 pan components come out of the larger palette and magnetically stack on top of each other, and the lid has a small mirror that itself becomes a lid for your tiny travel palette. I love the ability to travel with the whole set in a much more compact way or choose to make a smaller palette to travel with if I don't need it all. There's also a lovely little pouch that you can store the compact palette in to keep it safe, which is such a nice touch.
I'm having a blast playing with everything, I've already rearranged the pans and made a few looks. I adore this modular format and hope we can see more mini freedom palettes in the near future. This is definitely one of the top ten products I've tried this year, and was a no-brainer addition to my favorites list.
Sephora Savings Event Fall 2025 Picks
There's been a lot of talk, especially this year, about whether or not the Sephora sale is even worth it, and honestly I think it really depends on your situation. If you're anything below Rouge status, it's basically a resounding "no" unless you're looking at Sephora Brand products (30% off for everyone), or any brand that doesn't typically hold sales, like Rhode. Whatever your status is though, you should always check to see if individual brands are holding better sales than Sephora. Especially at this time of year as we approach Black Friday, you may be able to score much steeper discounts. Reddit is a great resource for information like this!
I decided that the products I was interested in were worth shopping this sale, especially because some I wanted to get before they sold out! Here are my picks; reviews will follow soon!
