Remember when all the Glock COAs disappeared to cover mil/le contracts? Well, some of those contracts are starting to come to light, the Spanish Air Force is replacing their H&K USP compacts with Glock 19s and 47.
From what I've been able to gather in the public documents, the SF and ground units had previously put together a report on the limited capabilities of the HK, lack of support for a dot, proprietary rail, dying support for the platform.
Apparently the Glock COA was proposed by these same units, and the requirements for the proposal where drafted with this in mind.
A suppressors has also been selected alongside the handgun, no information on what model, but if I had to guess, probably a B&T, lights and holsters are also part of the deal.
According to the licitation, the 19s will go the SF units, these will have threaded barrels.
