37. We both get lost at disneyworld and somehow stumble across each other and decide to be lost together
Irene stood in the center of the square looking around her. Or was it called a street? She wasn’t sure what to call it. She just knew she was surrounded by people that she didn’t know. In hindsight, she should have just canceled the trip when Wendy had said she couldn’t come. She shouldn’t have tried to brave Disney World for the first time by herself. Besides, the rides she had been on before she got lost weren’t much fun without her friend next to her. There were so many shops around her, food stands and candy stores, stores that sold just stuffed animals, and others that sold jewelry. It seemed that everywhere she turned was just another souvenir shop, or a place to buy sweet fattening food. She walked around and glanced into a few, looking for a map, one of the big ones that if the people who ran this place were smart would be in the middle of the road walkway thing. But of course there wasn’t one to be found. She sighed and ran her hands through her long hair, looking around her again, trying to find anything that would help her, even if it was just to get back to her hotel room. She just wanted to know where she was.
Her eyes focused on another street ahead of her. She raised her eyebrows and let her sandaled feet take her towards it, her white sundress swishing slightly. She turned the corner and nearly ran into someone, a male, who was looking at a giant map. Thank God. She stood next to him, probably too close for comfort as there were so many people crowding around her. She looked up from under her bangs, keeping her head tilted down a bit, and found the red YOU ARE HERE star. Now just to figure out what other rides were around her, and how to get back to her room.
