“Mina, what are you doing?” Yun asks as she chops away at the cabbage, preparing to make a new batch of kimchi to pickle. However, the motions are a little hard with her cousin holding on to her.

“Hugging you.”

“Well, I’m kind of doing something at the moment, so go hug ahjumma.” Yun says, continuing to maneuver her arms as much as she could without budging from her station.

“But mama is a girl. And I can’t hug daddy because he’s a guy, and you’re the closest to a guy I can hug.” Mina explains, not sensing her older cousin’s growing irritation.

“I’m going to stab you on purpose if you don’t let go.” Yun hisses at Mina, who instantly lets go with a whine.

“Yun! You’re so mean! You don’t have the spirit of the rabbit! You’re a snake!” 

“Mina, I swear to God!”

               “don’t think we’re done,” jae called out, staring towards the other. his eyes full of emotion. but, of course, jeffrey was one to show his emotions ( especially his ears showing a cherry-tint ) and it was hard to hide it even when he wanted to. “please do not say we’re done.” he uttered once more. every time an argument rose, the only way out was to be done and ignore one another. but for some odd reason, he felt like this was the tip of the iceberg and it wasn’t going to end well.

Yun doesn’t do this. Okay, she does, but everything that had happened had been completely unintentional. At what point did this friendship become... This? He was too close, that’s all she knew. And too close would mean he would touch her. And touching her is one step closer to embracing her. If he holds her, it’s over. At least let him have his memories, as painful as they are. As selfish as she is. “We’re done.” Yun is good at emotionless, good at acting like she doesn’t care. Oh but does she care... way too much.
