It Was One Time
I had to write this for Health class donât judge me
It was just one time
You said you were fine.
But look at you now with
Your blood shot eyes and trembling hands.
Your body is craving what it canât have.
You couldâve said no and walked away
But you decided to ruin your life that day
You had one choice, one chance, one life,
But you threw it all away and now youâre in strife.
No money, no friends, no food, no home,
Guess what pal, youâre all alone.
Everything you had faded away,
Leaving nothing left for a rainy day.
You didnât notice, you couldnât tell,
You became addicted, a living hell
Now as you sit in your hospital bed,
Please realize that this is it, this is the end.
You took a wrong turn, you made a mistake.
Why, oh, why was this your fate?
I truly wish you had gotten help,
A few simple words or even a yelp.
But no, you kept refusing to admit,
That, that one time turned you into an addict.
