I Can't Pay The Mortgage/Rent

Quinn Hughes
"Baby, I don't think I can pay the rent this month." Y/n sighs making Quinn look at her like she's just told him she can't make a paper airplane.
"You don't pay rent." Quinn states then seeming to think about it. "You've never paid rent. I pay."
"Yeah, well...I just...I don't think I can this month." Y/n explains earning a small smile and pat on the leg.
"That's ok, baby. I got you this month and every month for the rest of our lives." Quinn assures her clearly amused by her suddenly decision to tell him that she can't contribute towards any payment for their accommodation.
"Thanks, Huggy." Y/n grins leaning over and kissing him. "That's a weight off my shoulders."
"Whatever helps you feel better." Quinn nods but the undertone of sarcasm doesn't go amiss while y/n laughs a little.
Jack Hughes
The best results for Jack's reactions to stupid stuff is just catching him off guard when he's busy doing something. He's packing for an away game while sits on the bed recording him in prep for the question.
"Jack..."

"I can't pay the rent this month." Y/n states earning another absent hum before he seems to process the words a little and look up.
"When have you ever paid rent?" Jack questions making her smile a little. "You don't even know how to pay the rent...do you know how much rent is?"
"I just needed to let you know I can't this month." Y/n giggles completely failing to withhold her laughter.
"Ok. You never had to let me know before-are you recording?"
Y/n bursts into laughter as he snatches the phone from her hand beginning to accuse her of another prank which is obviously exactly what's happening.
"I'm trying to pack and you're coming at me about rent." Jack laughs shaking his head. "I'm always a victim of this stuff."
Luke Hughes
Y/n has both the Hughes brothers present when she decides to try the prank on Luke.
"Hey, Lukey." Y/n groans moving to plop down in his lap.
"Hey, baby." Luke sighs, a per always sounding on the verge of being annoyed even though he adores the woman, mildly irritated seems to be his constant state even when he's in a good mood.
"I've gotta tell you something."
"Tell me." Luke nods while Jack seems to try and make his interest in her having to tell his little brother something subdued.
"I don't think I can pay rent this month."
Luke doesn't even finish his breath in to respond before Jack snorts.
"Don't worry, Luke can afford to pay rent and he still let's me foot the bill." Jack states while Luke rolls his eyes and y/n laughs. "I've got you both covered, don't worry."
"Thanks Jack." Y/n giggles while Luke gives his brother the middle finger.
"Yeah, freeloaders."
Nico Hischier
There was part of y/n that wondered if Nico wouldn't get the prank and instead be concerned she'd been misspending money.
But she figured that if it didn't turn out as funny, then she could always just not share it with the world. But there's 50/50 chance.
They're sitting down for lunch when y/n decides to test out the prank.
"Nico, baby. I've been looking at some stuff and...I don't think I can pay the rent this month." Y/n states making Nico look up, unimpressed eyes and a heavy sigh through his nose. "I'm sorry."
"I can take payment in other ways." Nico shrugs while y/n chokes a little on her breath.
"Nico Hischier." Y/n scolds while Nico shrugs finally flashing a smirk.
"About time you paid up with your share." Nico jokes while y/n giggles at the cheekier side of him coming out. "I'll be a...ahhh uhhh...a sleazy landlord."
"Based off of this morning, you already are." Y/n grins but that does nothing to deflate the man's ego.
Lando Norris
With Lando having no shortage of income, y/n's contribution has never been anything. He considers her being with him charity enough.
But y/n want to try the prank anyway.
She chose to use a visit to the London apartment as a means of doing it.
"Baby, I love this apartment so much." Y/n comments while Lando nods looking around in approval at his own choice of apartment. "I don't know how I'm gonna be able to pay the mortgage on this."
"When have you ever paid for anything?" Lando laughs making y/n's jaw drop but then he gets a little sweeter. "I cover everything because that's my job. You just get to live your best life and I'll cover the mortgage and whatever other bills there are."
"Awww...aren't you a sweetheart. We love a supportive boyfriend both financially and emotionally." Y/n hums before he smiles brightly at her.
"Never letting you worry about that shit, baby. That's my job and I don't worry about it."
"Kind of a perk of being a millionaire."
Max Verstappen
Max is chronically online so it's no surprise that y/n can't get it passed him.
"Maxie, I can't afford the mortgage this month." Y/n pouts while Max pauses, a look of instant recognition appears before he shrugs.
"I know you can't baby. You don't work. How else am I meant to keep you locked in?" Max questions making her jaw drop as she processes his words. "You're gonna have to stop with these pranks. I always know what you're doing."
"I know...but sometimes it's just fun to see your reaction anyway." Y/n smiles with a small shrug before he leans down and pecks her lips.
"Really though, you never have anything to worry about...I wouldn't take a penny from you if you tried."
"I might have to test that promise."
Oscar Piastri
Oscar is sleeping soundly beside y/n when she decides she's bored of waiting for him to wake up and gives him a nudge to wake up.
"No, baby. Why?" Oscar groans knowing y/n is generally more of an early bird than him but he hates being woken up initially. Eventually he appreciates it so he gets more time with her but generally speaking he doesn't enjoy the wake up.
"Baby, it's important." Y/n states which is a giveaway that it's not at all important.
"What? What's important?" Oscar asks with a sigh as he settles down and manages to pull y/n closer hoping to entice her into going back to sleep to. Although he knows it's failed at every other attempt.
"I don't think I can make the rent this month."
Oscar's expression breaks into a smile with a small laugh.
"How many times have you paid rent without me knowing?" Oscar questions opening his eyes again and look at the young woman who grins.
"I don't know. But I can't this month."
"Ok, well consider every minute you let me sleep a debt repaid. Double repayment if you go back to sleep as well."
"I don't know if that's the rudest or most polite way to tell me to go back to sleep."
"It'd be great if it was effective."
