GUYS
There was a F1 simulador at the mall today, and I had to try.
I went there, with all the safety measures, and was the only one in the line.
Once I adjusted the seat, pedals and steering wheel, the guy turned it on and asked what track. I said Suzuka, going for a brave move. And it was terrible 😂 I hit every wall, spun in every turn and destroyed my car and tyres.
So I took a few steps back, put the fuel and tyre management on automatic (and a lot of minimal stuff that I had no idea were going on 😂), trained a few laps on an oval circuit to get more familiar with the car and the configurations (The wheel vibrated like hell when I f*cked up the tyres even on automatic lol) and then tried SPA and got SIXTH PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was easy mode but SIXTH PLACE!!!!!!!
The people on the mall were stopping to see and lining up to go next, even the other people that worked there came to see. One of the workers said he played now and then and still finished last always (because you start last), so he thought that was cool that I was doing great for a beginner. Then I tried Interlagos, and was holding on my sixth place again when I spun in the last lap, but was able to secure 13th place, that was not bad at all.
In the beginning, the man handling it was being so polite (that was actually so cool bc normally they treat you like you’re dumb because you’re a girl) but once I started driving and talking about the tracks, we started chatting about last year’s season and it was a good time. He even let me exceed my time and do another short race because we we’re having fun. He told me that there’s another simulator here in my town that is even more accurate, so I guess I’m going there next week.
