F2F. close enough to touch
Kurt had butterflies in his stomach. Maybe it was the alcohol that he’d had with the Cheerios at The Warehouse before coming back to his dorm for Scream, sugar cookies, and Jell-O shots he’d found prepackaged at the liquor store. Or the fact that Blaine’s shoulder brushed against his own when he shifted on the bed where they sat next to each other. Either way, his stomach was turning and he felt like he was going to be sick. What if he hated it? He wouldn’t know if he didn’t give them to him. He had to at least try, even if Blaine only took it as a friendly gesture.
“Blaine!” That was better than vomit. His cheeks blossomed red as the other cheerleaders, who were curled up in blankets on his floor, turned around and shushed him with stern faces as someone screamed on screen. “Sorry... sorry.” He tucked back into himself for a moment before leaning forward from his spot to snatch the two small boxes from the table next to his bed. He smoothed his fingers over the red paper and ribbons before taking a deep gulp of breath.
“B?” he whispered, leaning into the boy’s shoulder and watching his profile. “I know I said Valentine’s is... meaningless and annoying but... it sounded like it was important to you. Something you like. So...” he swallowed thickly and shifted the two small boxes into Blaine’s lap, watching his face carefully while his heart raced in his chest. “These are for you.” [x]
