Who: Aiden Fabray & Lucas Evans
When: Monday Morning: October 17, 2016
Where: William McKinley High School
Summary: Aiden offers Lucas to be his alibi, and then the sad emo gay boys talk about the future of their relationship.
Aiden: [After hearing that the cops had arrived at McKinley to question the students, Aiden knew he had to find Lucas asap. Luckily he found the boy rather fast, as Lucas was just about to take some books from his locker. Aiden tapped him on the shoulder.] "Hey, we need to talk."
Lucas: [Lucas had been at his locker, removing books for his next class and trying to act as calm and cool as possible after hearing that the cops were going to be at their high school. Upon being tapped on his shoulder, Lucas jumped a little, a turned quickly to be face to face with Aiden.] Um... okay. About what exactly?
Aiden: [Aiden could tell that Lucas was frazzled, but then again, when wasn't he? It didn't have to mean anything, it most likely didn't mean anything, but either way it would be stupid to talk about this in public.] "About us. Meet me in the janitor's closet in 10 minutes, okay?"
Lucas: [Lucas looked Aiden up and down wearily, his eyebrows knitting together as he gave a slow nod.] Uh, okay? Sure. 10 minutes, got it. [After that, Lucas turned, closed his locker, then turned to walk away - mind reeling with wondering what exactly Aiden wanted to talk about when it came to them.]
Aiden: [Aiden waited for Lucas in the janitor's closet, hoping that Lucas would do as he said. Lying that he wanted to talk about them seemed like the best way to get Lucas to meet him in private.
Lucas: [Lucas arrived at the janitors closet when he had said he would; entering in a weary fashion due to the fact that he didn't know what to expecting. Closing the door behind him, he leaned against it and looked at Aiden, staying quiet and waiting to see what the older boy had to say.]
Aiden: [Aiden figured that it was best to just get to the point now that he had Lucas alone.] "Where were you when Vasquez died?"
Lucas: [Lucas could feel the color drain from his face the second Aiden asked him that. Clearing his throat, he gave a single shrug of his shoulder and pushed off the door with his shoulder to stand upright.] I told you already, I went home early that night.
Aiden: [Aiden let out a deep annoyed sigh and crossed his arms. It wasn't hard to tell that Lucas was lying, and he really didn't like it when Lucas lied to him, hypocritical as that was.] " You were on the balcony with Sydney."
Lucas: [Lucas's eyes went wide, and he quickly shook his head.] N-no! No, I... [he trailed off, trying to think of a rebuttal, but his sudden rise in anxiety was making it difficult.] I can explain that, I promise. We didn't... I can explain, I swear. [His voice came out pleading and quivered as he talked, the fear of being caught clouding his brain.]
Aiden: [Aiden raised an eyebrow in confusion, unsure of what to think of Lucas' freaking out right now. However, it did make him feel bad for scaring him, so he stepped closer to him and cupped his cheek with his.] "Babe, calm down. It's okay, just tell me what happened."
Lucas: [Lucas stayed silent for a moment, trying to put his thoughts together enough to make up a story, one that Aiden would believe. Blinking his eyes a few times, he pushed out a few crocodile tears and shook his head.] It feel so horrible Aiden. I wasn't feeling good, so Sydney and I went outside to try and calm me down and stuff... and he followed us out there, he came out there to make fun of me, like he used to always do. [Blinking a few more times, Lucas's eyes shifted to look up at the ceiling and he breathed out a sigh.] But he was really drunk, like plastered drunk... So so Syd and I decided it was best to just get away from him. If I knew he was gonna fall I... I would have tried to bring him inside, get him away from the edge, I wouldn't have just left him there. I... [He trailed off, scrunching his face back up and looking down, forcing out a few more tears.]
Aiden: [Aiden was quite caught off guard by Lucas' explanation. Even though he had seen Sydney and Lucas on the balcony, he hadn't seen Dante and the fact that Lucas actually talked to the guy right before he died gave him the shivers. And although the story seemed a bit farfetched, Aiden didn't want to doubt Lucas, especially when he was upset like he was now. He wrapped his arms around the boy and pulled him close.] "Don't cry, I know what happened wasn't your fault." [Aiden breathed, rubbing Lucas' back gently in an attempt to calm the boy down.] "You were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. We can fix that, so don't worry.."
Lucas: [Lucas latched himself onto Aiden, his arms wrapping around the older boy as tightly as possible before he buried his face down in Aiden's shoulder. Giving a small nod of his head, he breathed in a sigh of relief - he was more than happy that Aiden was believing him and not pressing him further. Tilting his head to look up at Aiden from where his head rested, Lucas gave a small sniffle and swallowed before speaking again.] How are we gonna fix that, Aiden? If the police find out I was out there I could get into so much trouble. [Turning to bury his face back down, his voice came out muffled when he spoke again.] I'm so scared...
Aiden: [Aiden gently ran his fingers through Lucas' hair as the boy cried out on his shoulder.] "Don't be, okay? I already came up with something, it's going to be fine. You can't be on two places at once, right? So, just tell them you were with me. We were screwing each other behind Wesley's back in Sydney's bedroom. Just make sure to look like you feel terribly ashamed about it, and I doubt they'll ask you more questions." [He glanced down at the boy in his arms, and silently cursed at himself for how good it made him feel when Lucas needed him.] "I'll just.. I'll tell them the same story, and then you have nothing to worry about, okay?"
Lucas: [Lucas nodded into Aiden's shoulder as he listened to him explain the fake alibi he had thought up. Lifting his head from where it was, he wiped his cheek off with his hand and looked up at Aiden wide eyed - a little shocked that he was going to help him.] You'd do that for me? Really? Thank you so much, Aiden. [he said, squeezing the boy tighter.] I'll be sure to say and do exactly that, I promise... and I owe you. Big time.
Aiden: [Aiden let go of Lucas, as the way it was making him feel made talking difficult. As his eyes met Lucas' eyes again, he couldn't help but wonder again if Lucas' was telling him the whole truth, but decided not to push him. After all, no matter what the details were, it was an accident, and the only one responsible was the asshole that died.] "Yea, of course. Pretty boys like you don't survive in jail, babe." [Aiden replied, forcing a smile on his face.]
Lucas: [Lucas took a step back from Aiden once the older boy had let him going, pulling the sleeves down over his hands and looking around awkwardly after he took in what he assumed was Aiden's attempt at a compliment.] Yea, I guess so. [Lucas nodded then cleared his throat, focusing his gaze back on Aiden.] But uh... is that it? Like, all you wanted to talk about?
Aiden: [Aiden shrugged his shoulders, trying to seem as unaffected by the physical contact with his ex as possible.] "I mean, don't you think that's quite a lot, what we've been talking about?" [He replied, hoping to get away with deflecting the question.] "Or do you have something you want to tell me still?"
Lucas: [Lucas nodded his head solemnly, opening his mouth for a moment to speak before closing it again. This time he shook his head and looked down.] No. That's it I guess. I just.. you had said... [Breathing out another sigh, he added.] Never mind. Thanks Aiden, for everything. I'm gonna get going now though.
Aiden: [Aiden bit down on his bottom lip as he looked into Lucas' sad eyes, instantly regretting the lie he had told him. As usual, he found himself unable to find the right words that were going to cheer him up, so Aiden figured he'd try it 'his way'.] "Wait, Lucas, there's something else" [He said, before leaning in and brushing his lips against Lucas'.]
Lucas: [Lucas was caught off guard by Aiden's kiss, but that didn't stop him from slotting his eyes closed and pulling Aiden's closer to kiss him more deeply - figuring that this was what Aiden had meant earlier; so he played into it. When he finally pulled his head away he looked at Aiden with blinking eyes and gave him a small smile.] Oh... What's the something else supposed to mean?
Aiden: [Aiden let Lucas pull him closer and deepen their kiss, and put his arms around the boy's waist as he did before. It was a bad idea, and he knew it too, but he couldn't bring himself to care about that right now. When the other boy broke off their kiss, Aiden let out an annoyed groan.] "Obviously it means I wanted to kiss you." '[He replied, leaning in again for another kiss] "Still want to"
Lucas: [Lucas frowned a bit at what Aiden had said, moving his head further away and giving it a bit of a shake.] That's it? That's all it means? [Lucas queried, physically removing Aiden's arm from around him and taking another step back.] Nothing else?
Aiden: [Aiden rolled his eyes in annoyance, but truthfully he wasn't that surprised with Lucas' rejection.] "I don't know, Princess Lucas. Maybe you should jump to your own conclusion like you usually do. I offered to lie to the cops for you, and I'm kissing you. So, how about you connect the dots and figure out yourself what that means?"
Lucas: [Lucas looked Aiden up and down just as he did when they were first face to face, and gave him a look of confusion.] It could mean two things.... [He mumbled, eyes flicking up to look into Aiden's] I'm hoping it means you miss me and want to get back together.
Aiden: [Aiden was silent for a moment after Lucas told him what he hope it meant. If he was being completely honest with himself, then that was he wanted, to be with Lucas again. He had tried to ignore that desire, but so far is hasn't exactly worked as it always ended with him and Lucas kissing, fucking and making up. However, right now there was something that was stopping him from just getting back together again with his ex boyfriend. Aiden looked down, avoiding Lucas' gaze.] "Yea, it's what it means. I do miss you, and I do want you... soon" [He replied, letting out a sigh before looking up at Lucas again.] "I can't right now, okay? Wes is already upset, and Syd would kill me if I dumped him right now."
Lucas: [Lucas was finally about to offer Aiden another smile, until he heard the word
Lucas: [Lucas was finally about to offer Aiden another smile, until he heard the word 'soon' leave his lips. So instead, a more prominent frown just took place on Lucas's features.] Wesley... right. [Part of him wanted to ask about Sydney, to comment on it. But Lucas didn't have the emotional stability needed to. Instead he just looked away from Aiden again, blinking away some actual tears that were threatening to cloud his eyes as he tried to ignore the feeling of stupidity that was settling on top of.] Of course... he's more important. How could I think it could be otherwise...
Aiden: [Aiden knew that Lucas was disappointed, but was a bit surprised with how hard he seemed to take it. After all, he promised him soon and the boy he was currently dating just lost his best friend, yet there didn't seem to be much understanding for that.] "Babe, his best friend just died... I can't do that to him right now", Aiden repeated, putting emphasize on 'right now' to make Lucas understand that it would be temporary. "If he was more important, then don't you think I'd be with him instead of helping you with an alibi?
Lucas: [Lucas nodded his head once more, clearing his throat when he lifted his head to look at Aiden again.] Right, sure. And I appreciate it... The alibi thing. It was nice of you. [ He said, beginning to back himself up to the door again.] And yea, I understand. I guess I'll just have to wait until he's finished. [Lucas paused, looking Aiden over once more before reaching back to turn the handle of the closet door and open it.] I'm gonna go.... until then.... [He added, not wanting to stay in there any longer as he felt the walls were starting to close in, he took a step out of the door and turned to leave down the hallway.]
TALLULAH: was a bit lost. She had been with two different guys the past two nights but she just felt alone and generally just...raw. She just felt tired and numb. And she wasn't going to turn down talking to Lucas, especially if it would make her feel better about anything. She could use...something. Tally sighed softly and rested her face in her hands, closing her eyes and taking deep breaths, before getting up and making her way to Luke's apartment. It was a familiar walk, and it didn't take long. The next thing she knew she was standing outside his door. She knocked very softly, not wanting to wake anyone up. "It's me."
[ Tally had to stand up on her tip toes to see the shelves of alcohol, and she was pointing out different whiskeys that "oh my god," Luke "HAD TO TRY". She was like a kid in a candy store. ] I know my Whiskey, trust me. [ She said seriously, slurring a tad. ]
