Jeffrey walked closer to where Katie was standing. A smirk was playing on his lips not able to hide the good mood that he was on. When Jeffrey got closer, he leaned over her and looked at her eyes. “What are you doing?” he asked with a soft tone in his voice, not taking his eyes away from hers.

"H-how long have you been standing there?" Jeffrey asked surprised when he noticed her standing on the door hoping she just came and she heard or saw nothing. He has been on the baby room for a while now and having a moment for himself, looking at the baby stuff and thinking about their future with their baby girl. “I was just thinking how fucking awful my old office looks with those fucking stuff” he tried to explain himself and shrugged the rest of it off. “Whatever” he muttered with a shrug.

“No, but tell me because my curiosity is killing me” Jeffrey started speaking as he walked in the same room Katie was, his eyes looking over at her the whole time. “From a scale one to ten, how close you were to a heart attack when you got my fucking message?” he asked with a smirk.

It was one of the days that Jeffrey decided to not go to work and stay home. His mind was too busy with thinking about Katie and what she was going through right now to focus on something else. He was not gonna lie; the house seemed too empty without her and he couldn't take her off his mind and that's why he decided to text her and see how she was doing. When he got her text back a small frown appeared on his face. He hated the fact that she was thinking that he couldn't be there for her because it was not just his thing to do. The man stood up from his seat and put on his leather jacket. He preferred to not reply to her and just go find her. It took him about fifteen minutes to get there but when he did, the man rushed inside and went to find her. As he was looking around to find her, Jeffrey saw Katie sitting down and looking at her phone. "You might think it's not my cup of tea but I would hate myself knowing that you need me and I was not there for you," he said as he walked closer to her.

Jeffrey wasn't really the kind of person who would go to things like that but somehow Katie had managed t to drag him out of the house and since he couldn't work at the store either, he had talked about it with Camila and they closed it for the day. With both of them at the beach now, Jeffrey got lost in his thoughts for a moment, going back to the past. Katie's voice woke him up from his thoughts and he turned around looking at her. "What?" he asked confused. "Sorry I was not listening," Jeffrey said. "I was thinking about the night we spend it here, at this beach," he smiled at her. "Fucking ages ago but one of the best memories I have".
